President Maduro files a protection Appeal before the TSJ

This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, filed a Protection Appeal before the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

It is worth noting that the president of the highest court in the country, Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez, is also the president of the Electoral Chamber.

The Dignitary delivered the document to the president of the highest court in the country, Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez, accompanied by the Attorney General of the Republic, Reinaldo Muñoz.

Also present with the Head of State were the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and part of the Executive Cabinet, while for the TSJ were present the first vice president, Edgar Gaviria Rodríguez, who is also president of the Social Cassation Chamber; and the second vice president, Tania D’ Amelio, who also holds the position of president of the Constitutional Court.

The Venezuelan head of state was re-elected last Sunday, July 28, for the third constitutional term with a total of 5,150,092 votes, which represents 51.20%, in a first ballot with 80% of the minutes counted with an irreversible trend.

It should be remembered that the TSJ is the highest body of the Venezuelan judicial system, it constitutes one of the five powers that make up the Venezuelan nation, established in the Constitution.
