The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that he will launch a new and gigantic public transportation system at the national level, incorporating 2,000 units in one year, through the Metrobús system throughout the country:
“I already brought 100 bus units from China and I just recovered 126 (Yutong) units that today we are delivering to the Greater Caracas, recovered, like new, plus 100 units that look like spaceships, for the Metrobús service. And I ordered 2,000 modern units like you cannot even imagine, to put them into operation at a national level, because in the next twelve months from August 2024 to August 2025, I am going to develop and found at a national level, the National Metrobús, so that they will reach all the cities, Cumaná, Maracaibo, Valencia, San Félix, Puerto La Cruz, Maturín, Caripito, San Carlos, Cabimas, Calabozo, there will be 2,000 new units, as a package.
The Venezuelan President explained that these 2,000 new units, which will be at the service of the people of Venezuela, will have their professional maintenance service guaranteed by a new and modern company, with professionals and committed workers, to recover the entire transportation system and put it at the service of the working class, youth, grandparents, and students.
He recalled that in 2016 he incorporated many Yutong brand transport units into the Metrobús service for several states or entities in the country to which maintenance was not done and they were left to waste due to laziness, urging people to avoid intolerance and take care of said units.
On the other hand, the head of state clarified that he has “stood up” and “we must advance forward so that a phony does not become president,” so he asked those present at the Monumental Stadium in Caracas to give him the vote:
“Working people, community members, male and female workers, working people, to continue advancing the changes that Venezuela needs, I need your vote. I am the worker President of the 21st Century and I ask for your vote to achieve the great triumph, working women, I ask for your love, there is still a Revolution of the humble ones to be made, a democratic Revolution of the workers, I have morals to tell the Venezuelan working class to, give me the vote to have a great victory this July 28.»
