Faced with the claims of interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela by the White House spokesmen, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated that “Venezuela wants elections free of illegal sanctions.”
“The spokesmen for the gringo government say that they want free elections in Venezuela, we tell them: in these years, Venezuela has the world record for free elections, 29 free elections, with a free and conscious people, with the best electoral system in the world and I answer: Do you want free elections? We want elections free from sanctions, blockades, aggression, economic warfare; Lift all the sanctions”, specified the national president during the work journey dedicated to the balance of the first semester of 2023 of the Bricomiles for health, held in La Guaira state.
He recalled that through the dialogue that Venezuela is carrying out and that has had its greatest splendor on the stage of the 2nd Celac-EU Summit, held in Brussels, Belgium, the unanimous voice of the participating governments was established to request the lifting of all illegal sanctions that have caused suffering to the people since 2015, which amount to more than 930 unilateral coercive measures.
