Venezuela and China sign Agreement for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments

Venezuela and China signed a new Agreement for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, with the objective of allowing the promotion and flow of these companies from both nations. The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the representative of International Trade of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Shouwen, representing each nation, signed such an important agreement.

In this sense, Rodríguez pointed out: “This agreement that we just signed today is an achievement of the visit of our president Nicolás Maduro in the last quarter of last year to China, which is very important and will allow us to promote and flow investments. between China and Venezuela. It is really an agreement of great relevance for our country so that Chinese companies have a regulatory framework for investment in Venezuela.”

Also so that Venezuelan companies have investment participation in China. We have seen the working group for the fluidity of trade installed, in which we have addressed aspects of the Special Economic Zones (ZEE), where China is a global authority, this very fruitful exchange has begun.”

We are addressing the China-Venezuela business committee that must be established, so we are laying the foundations to promote international trade, promote and develop the engine of Venezuelan foreign trade and non-traditional exports.”

We have health protocols so that Venezuelan products can be sold in China: Cocoa, avocado, Chinese beans, shrimp, coffee. This is good news for Venezuela and China. We have a foolproof, mutually beneficial relationship”.

For his part, Wang Shouwen highlighted: “It is an honor for me to sign this important agreement with the esteemed Vice President Rodríguez. Today we signed a bilateral treaty based on mutual benefits for bidirectional development between two countries. Surely this treaty will thoroughly promote investment relations and the Chinese side will complete the internal procedures as soon as possible and we expect this from the Venezuelan side.”
