Given the possible entry of Venezuela into the BricsPlus, as part of the construction of a new multipolar order, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, insisted that the union of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and the BricsPlus must become the future of the free peoples in a multicentric and pluripolar world.
He reiterated on “the need for Celac to move towards the future to become a confederation of republics, countries and States of Latin America and the Caribbean, and come from being a community to a confederation,” and recalled that already the first step for Celac and the Brics, as a block, is to work together in a permanent forum between these institutions:
“The future has a first and last name, the union of the Brics with Celac, and that is where our Bolivarian, anti-colonizing, anti-hegemonic project is directed,” he said.
