The Republic Plan will be deployed from Tuesday in the voting centers throughout the national territory on the occasion of the preparation of the presidential elections and regional legislative councils scheduled for this Sunday, May 20, as reported the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, Remigio Ceballos, from the headquarters of the CNE in Caracas.
“Tomorrow will be the nationwide deployment for the taking of all the voting centers with more than 300,000 military personnel, and of the citizen security organs a complete coordination with the Public Ministry, because we are going to guarantee the success of this electoral process”, he said.
Ceballos stressed that the military institution will remain in constant movement to preserve the proper functioning of the national electricity system.
“We have by decree the declaration of security zones for the whole issue of electoral infrastructure. The whole platform of the national electricity system becomes a temporary security zone, and the entire technological platform of the national communication system (…) in this way we can take the necessary legal actions against those people who intend to alter the order”, he added.
He added that ample reserves of the Bolivarian National Guard will be deployed throughout the country to address any irregularity or special requirement, with the aim of ensuring peace in the country and security in all polling stations, in support of the Republic Plan and the CNE.
