By emphasizing that “where there is an organized and mobilized people, there is peace,” the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned that the extreme right wing “is committed to igniting violence in Venezuela,” using democracy to address national stability.
During the broadcast of the “Con Maduro+” program, he asserted that sectors of the extreme right wing are developing plans “to try to set up ambushes, to accumulate a force and launch a blow against the peace of the people.”
“(The extreme right) has only one bet, it has no more. There are those who have plans to plunge this country into violence and use the benefits that freedom and democracy give to come against the people,” he denounced.
The head of state called on Venezuelans to remain on alert, to build peace and strengthen popular unity in all spaces. Precisely, he pointed out that cohesion is a key element against attempts to fuel violence in the streets, which is why he celebrated the increase in participation in the mobilizations of recent days:
“No one shows the strength that truly exists in Venezuela: the strength of the people,” he stressed, detailing that, so far, 4,406,357 people throughout the national territory have marched in rejection of the systematic aggression against Venezuela”.
Regarding the call to “build peace every day,” the leader of the El Samán community, from the Independencia municipality of Yaracuy state, Yusbeily Mendoza, explained that they have organized around three fundamental areas: organization, unity, and to add those who, even not coinciding with the flags of the Bolivarian Revolution, “are not willing for any problem or disturbance to arise in our communities.”
“We know the right wing does not rest and they are going to try to destabilize the people,” said Mendoza.
In this sense, the Venezuelan president reiterated that the Community Heads, together with the Street Chiefs, are the center of the construction of the Popular Units for Peace (UPPAZ), an entity that will work hand in hand with the Peace Quadrants.
