Nicolás Maduro leads voting intention towards the presidential elections on July 28, opinion study reveals

Nicolas Maduro would win the presidential elections on June 28 according to the most recent study by the Insight pollster from the contrapunto.com portal.

The measurement attributes an advantage of 36.31 percentage points to President Nicolás Maduro, who has a 52.24% preference, followed by the option of don’t know or does not answer with 16.08%. The candidate Edmundo González accumulates a support of 15.93% followed by Daniel Ceballos with 5.89%, Claudio Fermín with 2.80%, Benjamin Rausseo with 1.97%, Javier Bertucci 1.85%, Antonio Ecarri with 1 .55%, José Brito 0.79, Luis Eduardo Martínez with 0.47% and Enrique Márquez with 0.43%.

According to the survey, Chavismo remains the leading political force in the country with 47% support while the opposition maintains 19% followed by 15% who do not express any preference while another 19% do not know or do not respond.

The survey also measured participation in the presidential elections on July 28, 61% stated that they will participate in the electoral process while 17% are not sure yet. 6% assure that they will not vote and 16% do not know or do not respond.

The study, which included a sample of 2,600 people nationwide, was carried out between April 25 and 28 of this year.
