President Maduro launches Great Movement of Women’s Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez”: More than 5,400.000 women have registered

Within the framework of the 5th vertex “Participatory and Protagonic Woman”, the national president, Nicolás Maduro, led the launch of the Great Movement of Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez”, with the aim of strengthening the organization of women in the fight for equality and social justice.

The launch of the Great Movement of Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez” took place from the Concha Acústica (Acoustic Shell) “February 27, 1989”, in the Simón Bolívar Park in Miranda state.

This movement has the participation of 517 leaders of women’s social organizations nationwide. Who were sworn in during the activity, thus guaranteeing compliance with the policies of the Great Mission Venezuela Women and all its vertices.

One of the fundamental premises of this movement is the implementation of the Venezuelan Women’s Agenda for the Empowerment, Equity and Equality of Women, with a focus on the 2024-2030 transformation.

To this end, meetings will be held in the 4,500 communal circuits of the country’s states, seeking the active participation and empowerment of women in all areas of society.

The Great Movement of Women’s Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez” aims to organize more than 200,000 women’s committees throughout the country. In addition to carrying out a census of sectoral movements, thus recognizing the power of organization and action of women in Venezuelan society.
