The consultative referendum on December 3 will mark a precedent in the history of Venezuela, as it is a process that will not be in the hands of experts or lawyers, but will be the responsibility of the Venezuelan people, as stated by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the meeting of FANB cadets in defense of Essequibo:

“For the first time in history, based on the Constitution, this issue is brought to the attention of those who have to decide, to the people, to the humble ones,” he said. “Let the people decide the destiny of our country.”

He affirmed that the entire plot of conspiracy against Venezuela, which involves the issue of Guayana Esequiba, has the ExxonMobil Oil company behind it, which is in charge of paying its opposition employees, also here in Venezuela, to carry out the sabotage of the referendum:

For them to go out and sabotage the referendum, for them to go out and speak ill of the referendum, there must be a lot of money flowing from ExxonMobil to buy far-right politician men and women,” denounced the President.

He pointed out that this national movement, never before seen by empires, “is causing nervousness.”

Pro-imperialist men and women are nervous, dragging themselves (to the) interests of the gringos, of the empire, (those) from the Venezuelan and Latin American extreme right wing, there are nerves in Guyana, there are nerves in the north, (do) get very nervous, (do) sweat a lot, because either with rain, thunder or lightning, the referendum on December 3 is going on,” Maduro stated.
