Venezuela welcomes 231 compatriots from Peru

231 people returned to Venezuela from Peru, thanks to the Plan Vuelta a la Patria (Return To The Homeland Plan). The information was released by the Chancellery of the Republic, through the Twitter account @CancilleriaVE.

Conviasa established an air bridge between the two countries, and was able to comply with the instruction of the National Executive, which to date, adds 24,029 people repatriated free of charge, by air. Conviasa is expected to intensify operations, since there are a considerable number of Venezuelans who wish to leave Peru and return to Venezuela.

María Sarabia, one of the women who returned to Venezuela, said she was grateful to the Bolivarian Government for the humanitarian flight, “I was in Peru in a deplorable situation, I should have never left Venezuela.”

In all Conviasa operations, biosafety measures are complied with to avoid contagion by Covid-19.
