Venezuela present at the 3rd Southern Summit of the G77 + China

The Minister of Pople’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, reported that on behalf of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, he is participating in the third G77 + China Southern Summit, which is taking place in the city of Kampala (capital of Uganda), with the aim of promoting the economic interests of the Global South.

There he highlighted the meeting held with his counterpart from Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, with whom he agreed on the importance of expanding the recent commercial and economic cooperation agreements between both nations.

Likewise, the chancellor expressed his satisfaction for the exchange of fraternal greetings with his counterpart from Colombia, Álvaro Leyva Durán, and expressed: “It is gratifying to observe the significant progress in the reconstruction of bilateral ties and friendship between our countries, which has resulted in tangible benefits for our people. Today we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening this unity.”

According to the TeleSur website, the G77+China Southern Summit is made up of 134 member countries, however, it maintains its identity as G77 + China, which was its initial number and represents 80% of the world’s population.
