Delcy Rodríguez reported 24 new community and 155 imported Covid 19 cases

A total of 24 cases of community Covid-19 transmission cases and 155 imported and for contact with international travelers, were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, to bring the total number of infections to 4,366.

The information was released this Wednesday by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, at the end of the customary meeting of the Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19.

Regarding community transmission cases, she announced that 11 are from Miranda state, 8 from Aragua state and 5 from the Capital District.

Regarding the imported cases, Rodríguez specified that 131 arrived from Colombia, 3 from Ecuador and 7 from Peru, while 14 are by contact with an international traveler.

Referring to the number of mass screening tests applied, she specified that as of this Wednesday there have been made 1,164,315, which is equivalent to 38,810 tests per million inhabitants.

She also lamented the reporting of the death of three coronavirus patients, two of them derived from the Zulia state outbreak, and one from the Capital District, bringing the death toll to 38.

The first of them was a 69-year-old man, a resident of Zulia state, by a cardiorespiratory failure that caused his death.

The second case was a 52-year-old woman of the San Francisco municipality from Maracaibo. She was a diabetic, hypertensive, and suffered from an autoimmune disease. Cardiopulmonary failure occurred, resulting in her death

And the third case is a 68 years old resident of the La Vega parish in the Capital District, with a history of hypertension. A multi-organ failure occurred that caused the death.
