Established actions to strengthen water and electricity services in the country

The Sectoral Vice President for Public Works and Services, G/J Néstor Reverol, held a meeting with the People’s Power Minister for Water Care, Rodolfo Marco Torres, the Territorial Managers of the National Electric System (SEN) and representatives of the hydrological systems of the country, with the objective of establishing immediate actions in the optimization of these essential services for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.

At the meeting, held in Caracas, General in Chief Néstor Reverol, instructed both teams to strengthen the water-electricity binomial, to carry out an in-depth diagnosis and prioritize those projects that guarantee service to the communities.

Among the plans to be reinforced are: the rehabilitation of deep wells, the distribution of water by cisterns, the supervision to avoid illegal intakes, increase the monitoring of the reservoirs and a collection plan with the installation of water meters, especially in the commercial area.

For his part, the head of the Water portfolio highlighted the importance of maintaining effective communication between those responsible for water and energy in each state to provide a timely response to situations that arise: “I have instructed the presidents of the hydrological companies to work in an articulated manner with the territorial managers of Corpoelec, all the support to guarantee the work,” he highlighted.
