On December 15, 1812, the Father of the Homeland, Simón Bolívar, signed the Cartagena Manifesto.
The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, recalled the first great political document of the Liberator.
She explained that in the Cartagena Manifesto, Simón Bolívar exposes the causes of the fall of the First Republic, by saying: «Our division and not the Spanish arms, returned us to slavery”.
