Day 972 | Fight against COVID-19: Venezuela registers 122 new infections in the last 24 hours

A total of 122 new COVID-19 infections were detected in the last 24 hours, of which 18 are community cases and 44 imported cases, which brings the total confirmed to 546,384, with 620 active cases, while the number of recovered is placed at 539,940 patients, thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced this Saturday by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during the usual daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through her account in the Twitter social network, @delcyrodriguezv.

She reported that the community cases are located in the states: La Guaira (21), Caracas (13), Zulia (13), Yaracuy (5), among others.

La Guaira is the state that registers the most new community cases this Saturday (21), with active infections in 6 municipalities: Catia La Mar (12), La Guaira (4), Caraballeda (2), Macuto (1), among others.

The 44 imported cases arrived as follows: 18 from Peru, 13 from Panama, 6 from Ecuador, 3 from the Dominican Republic, 2 from Portugal and 2 from Spain, all with entry through La Guaira.

In week 139 and day 972 of the pandemic in Venezuela, these are its general statistics:

Total infections: 546,384

Recovered patients: 539,940 (99%)

Current active cases: 620

Total deceased: 5,824
