National Dialogue Board evaluates candidates seeking rectory of the CNE

The National Dialogue Board is “gradually and firmly” drawing a path to present the candidates that will make up the new directive of the National Electoral Council (CNE), as reported by the president of the “Soluciones para Venezuela” (Solutions for Venezuela) movement, Claudio Fermín.
During a meeting with the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, at Miraflores Palace, Fermín said that “It would not be enough” with the appointment of new rectors of the CNE; but it should be legislated with inclusion “so that there is proportional representation and there are no excluded”.
The sociologist and university professor also pointed out that the National Government and the opposition can settle their differences through dialogue and not opt for violent mechanisms.
“We have advanced in the National Dialogue Board because all of us who have integrated it have agreed that we must work on the task of appointing a new National Electoral Council”, he said.
Finally, Claudio Fermín said that the National Executive has “a few million barrels of oil” for the exchange of food and medicines.
