Venezuela celebrates resounding rejection at the UN of blockade against Cuba

Venezuela celebrated the victory of the brotherly country Cuba, after this Thursday the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UNGA) approved the rejection of the blockade against that country by obtaining 185 votes, which is a clear and forceful message of the countries of the world that said: Enough of the Blockade!

This was specified by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, through his account on the Twitter social network @NicolasMaduro, in which he expressed: “These are times of a new humanity of respect. Long live the dignity of the Cuban People!

During the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UNGA), the Caribbean island received the support of 185 nations that supported the draft resolution, with the aim of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government (USA).

From the UN, only two countries voted against: Israel and the United States.

In the place, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, stated: “30 years have passed since the UNGA began to demand, every year, the cessation of this policy, typified as an act of genocide and which has the effect of a permanent pandemic, of a constant hurricane and receives a universal rejection”.
