Venezuelan Head of State called on Caricom members to reactivate dialogue with political sectors


The Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, promptly called on the leaders of Mexico, Uruguay, Bolivia and the 14 member countries of the Community of Caribbean States (Caricom) in order to reactivate the dialogue with the political, economic and social sectors of Venezuela , framed in the Montevideo Mechanism.
This call was made by President Maduro, during the anti-imperialist rally in the surroundings of Miraflores Palace, on Saturday, and thus he published it in turn on his official Twitter account @NicolasMaduro.

“I ask the Heads of State and Prime Ministers of Mexico, Uruguay, Bolivia and CARICOM to resume the dialogue initiative proposed in the Montevideo Agreement. I reaffirm my full disposition for a Great National Dialogue with all sectors for the welfare of the Homeland”.

He affirmed that citizens want “dialogues, prosperity, tranquility, advancement and peace”, while urging to accept this call “as an expression of political maturity, as an expression of the nation’s interest and as an expression of what Venezuelans want.”
After receiving the 2019-2025 Homeland Plan, approved by the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), by the hands of the president of the Parliament, Diosdado Cabello, and the massive accompaniment of the mobilized people’s power, Maduro affirmed that Venezuela should be empowered towards productivity, for the welfare of the population, making reference to the repeated attacks that the economy of the country has suffered.
