Maduro responds to Santos and Trump: In Venezuela the people will decide

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said Sunday that in “Venezuela will decide the sovereign power of the people” convened by the National Constituent Assembly to a new electoral process.

The statement occurs in response to the position assumed by the presidents of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and of the United States, Donald Trump, who have rejected the call for elections made by the ANC, stating that they will disown the results of this consultation.

In his Twitter account, the Venezuelan Head of State was emphatic when he said that: “Here in Venezuela, Santos does not rule, here in Venezuela Trump does not rule”.

Maduro, who has been proclaimed as the official candidate of five political organizations -PSUV, Podemos, MEP, UPV, Tupamaro-, asked the people for 10 million votes to guarantee the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution.
