President Nicolás Maduro in an interview with Al Mayadeen: “Venezuela has a solid democracy”

In an interview granted to the Al Mayadeen TV station, from the city of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that Venezuela has a solid democracy.

During this meeting with the renowned media outlet, the national president affirmed that Venezuelans will continue to exercise, through voting, a participatory and leading democracy in the years to come.

He recalled that Venezuela has five powers, according to its constitution: the legislative, judicial, citizen, electoral and the Executive branch: “These are the five strong powers, added to the People’s and military power.”

“Venezuela is an unquestionable reality, whoever does not want to see it will keep making a fool of itself in the world,” said the Head of State.

Likewise, he pointed out that “faced with war and threats of war, in the face of violence, bombing, we say: Peace, peace, respect for international law, respect for the peoples”.

That is the flag that we must raise. The flag of peace, of dignity, as the warriors that we are”, he emphasized.
