President Maduro orders increased military actions against Tancol groups

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting this Thursday with the Military High Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in Fort Tiuna, and ordered to increase operations against the Colombian Drug Trafficking Armed Terrorist groups (Tancol).

During a balance of the Bolivarian Shield 2022 operation, the head of state urged to continue politically, socially and militarily dismantling those groups that are dedicated to terrorism and serve the oligarchy that governs Colombia: “The Tancols are enemies of Venezuela and of the FANB,” said the also commander-in-chief of the FANB.

In statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the head of state highlighted that in this operation they have obtained great achievements “to cleanse that vast territory (Apure) of paramilitary groups sent by Iván Duque, a drug trafficker and paramilitary, (who is) unfortunately president of Colombia.”

Maduro pointed out that this strategy of drug trafficking and Colombian paramilitary terrorism is supported by the United States:

“Venezuela fights against the greatest enemy of the peoples who came from Colombia, the political and economic power of Colombia,” said the National President:

From the neighboring country they brought all the dirty methods and wounded and killed peasants and soldiers. They are operational groups that are financed by drug trafficking”, he added.

According to the head of the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, he explained that with the Bolivarian Shield 2022 have been destroyed 257 Tancol structures.
