COVID: Venezuela registers 1,258 community and 3 imported cases

This Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported through the Twitter social network that Venezuela in the last 24 hours registered a total of 1,258 new coronavirus infections from community transmission and 3 imported cases.

In this sense, she highlighted that Falcón state is the entity where today the highest number of community cases is registered (394), with active infections in 14 municipalities; It is followed by states Carabobo (220), Yaracuy (170) and Zulia (102).

She also reported that today a total of 15 Venezuelans died of the Coronavirus: A man of 55 years and 2 women of 74 and 88 years in Anzoátegui state. A woman of 73 years and 2 men of 51 and 76 years in Barinas state. A 44-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man in Caracas. A 48-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman in Mérida. 2 men aged 81 and 75 in Nueva Esparta. A 58-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man in Lara. A 58-year-old man in La Guaira.

“On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, we send our condolences to their families and friends”, stressed the senior official.

Finally, she added in the tweet thread that the general statistics of the pandemic in Venezuela are:

– Total infections: 238,013

– Recovered patients: 218,956 (92%)

– Current active cases: 16,368

– Total deceased: 2,689
