Open primary elections of PSUV will be held next Sunday, August 8

Next Sunday, August 8, open primary elections will be held with the country’s electoral roll, so that the militancy of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and any Venezuelans who wish to participate, may vote to choose the candidate of the revolution proposed by the PSUV and the Youth of PSUV, that will go to the electoral contest next November 21 (21N).

This was said by the president of the PSUV and Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, this Tuesday at the meeting for the election of candidates for the November 21 elections. Maduro said that open primary elections are the most democratic method on the way to a great victory on November 21.

The candidates of the revolution will be previously selected on Sunday, June 27, fulfilling the steps of the regulations to choose the candidates who will carry out the 14,381 Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCH). These UBCHs will be constituted in base assemblies to nominate all the male and female candidates for this year’s elections secretly and directly.

Likewise, this Friday, June 4 begins in the Public squares of the country the identification process of all the militants of the PSUV and JPsuv. At this moment there are 7,790,878 registered.
