Commission on truth will stifle violence and promote peace

The Commission for Truth will stifle violence and promote peace in the national territory, as affirmed the President of the National Constituent Assembly, Delcy Rodriguez during, a contact via Skype.

“Today we are installing the Commission for Truth (…) we have received many letters of the prosecuted, convicted who want to submit to the truth commission. It is a commission to stiffle violence in the country, to consolidate peace, public tranquility. It is a commission for the welfare of Venezuela”.

The maximum representative of the ANC asserted that through the Commission for Truth, it will be determined the clarification of the different facts that are elevated to this instance, in order to determine those responsible, in order to establish a meeting between the perpetrator and the victim.

Likewise, Rodríguez rejected a hate crime committed against the rector of the CNE, Socorro Hernandez.

Regarding the Constitutional Law proposed by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, Rodríguez confirmed that it is under review to be approved this week.

“We have been reviewing the Constitutional Bill that you (Pres. Maduro) presented to the ANC for the creation of this Commission and we are already giving the final work to take it to the next session and for that constitutional law, that was at the initiative of the Head of State, can be approved this very week, with ample powers”. She said.

Rodríguez emphasized that the ANC has arrived to make history, to establish justice and consolidate peace in the country.
