The Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado, indicated this Monday that will be vaccinated all the elderly in the country, a total of about 4 million, who will be given the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
He said that mass vaccination begins with the elderly because they are the most vulnerable population.
The health minister explained that the massive inoculation of older adults began in 45 centers and this Tuesday, June 1, it will be increased to 77 health centers or more if necessary.
It is estimated that vaccination against Covid 19 will be extended to 70% of the Venezuelan population, some 22 million people who will receive immunization against the virus.
