Venezuela received 25 tons of medical supplies

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela received 25 tons of drugs for intensive care, oxygen cylinders, personal protective equipment, spare parts for mechanical respirators and syringes, from the People’s Republic of China.

The cargo, which was transferred by air thanks to Conviasa, will be destined for the care of Covid patients in the western, Andean and plains regions states, where the highest number of cases are currently present.

Carlos Alvarado, Minister of People’s Power for Health, reported that with this batch Venezuela adds a total of 420 tons of supplies received from China:

“The call is to strengthen prevention measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic afflicting humanity,” said Health Minister Alvarado.

The Bolivarian Government thanks the people and the Government of China for this gesture that demonstrates and reaffirms the ties of friendship between both nations.
