Asdrubal Chávez appointed as new president of CITGO

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed Asdrúbal Chávez on Wednesday as the new President of CITGO, a national oil company based in the United States.

“Asdrúbal Chávez, from Barinas, is going directly as president of CITGO and to restructure CITGO, to recover CITGO, to strengthen CITGO in the United States, which is a company of ours, with Venezuelan capital, a Venezuelan investment in the United States”, he reported.

The Head of State reported that one of the responsible ones for the corruption in this company has been a Venezuelan citizen, resident in the United States, whom President Maduro described as a “guarimbero” (rioter).

“A Venezuelan who lives in the United States, ultra-conservative, far-right (…) but how nice to be, an ultra-rioter, anti-revolutionary, anti-Chavista, but signed contracts with CITGO to rob from CITGO”, he denounced.
