The Bolivarian government prioritizes the protection of the people. As President Nicolás Maduro announced, from May 17 to 23, Venezuela will be under the radical quarantine scheme in order to combat Covid-19.

“This week from Monday #May17 until Sunday #May23 there will be 7 days of radical and conscious quarantine. We have contained the second wave of the pandemic, however, we have a high plateau of contagion and it is important to continue taking care of us. Maximum discipline!”
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez informed that in the last 24 hours, 1,070 people were infected, 1,063 community transmissions and 7 imported cases.

In Yaracuy state were detected the greatest number of cases, with 183 active cases, La Guaira state follows, with 164 cases and Aragua state with 111 cases.
Unfortunately, 14 Venezuelans died by Coronavirus, the Bolivarian government sent condolences to their families and friends.
The general statistics regarding COVID-19 are: Total of contagions 215.301, patients recovered 199.202, active cases 13,703 and deceased 2.396.
