President Nicolás Maduro: We have protected the Guri, recovery is sure

The technological protection systems built 4 years ago have worked, they protected the Guri (Hydroelectric Generation Plant). Now we are normalizing and regularizing the service. Fortunately, we have learned and I thank the people for their trust, awareness and support,” reported the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, from the Presidential Command Post, during the assessment of the criminal aggression against the National Electric System.

The head of State expressed that thanks to the contingency plan implemented by the national Government, was managed to restore the electrical system in a large part of the country. In this sense, he indicated, “we have seen this movie on that March 7, in the Guaidó era, where they attacked the brain of the Guri, in an operation directly directed by the United States.”

He also added that the attack on Friday, August 30, has different characteristics, but the assault was directly on the Guri: “We know how it was done and we are in full investigation to do justice. They risked everything, they risked completely, with the attack they carried out, the way they planned it, the specialists who work on them assure that this attack is the father and mother of all the attacks against the Guri, it is an attack full of hate, but we have protected the Guri.”

The head of State indicated that the investigations are ongoing and the details are still being kept under wraps to protect the actions of restoration of the National Electric System:

The recovery is safe and step by step, I am with the team, taking care of all the details, to restore normality and for our people to continue enjoying the right to peace, to a permanent stability. With the right to produce, create, advance, we are defeating fascism, revenge and hate, but justice cannot be delayed. There must be justice; as head of state, I ask for justice for the perpetrators and masterminds, I ask for justice to consolidate peace,» said constitutional president Nicolás Maduro.
