Venezuela will continue applying the 7+7Plus scheme

This Sunday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported that the 7+7 scheme will be maintained throughout the national territory and new flexibility schemes will be evaluated. This was done during the presentation of a balance on the fight against COVID-19 where he also announced that this Monday, October 12, begins the radical quarantine period throughout the country.

Likewise, President Maduro stressed that “Some people wonder: Will the day come, before Christmas, when there will be an all-week flexibilization and quarantine ends for good? I would prefer not to, and for us to maintain the 7+7 Plus with new flexibilizations”.

Likewise, the Head of State explained that thanks to this strategy “there is a sustained, slow, but sustained trend of decrease in cases”, in contrast to the inability to contain the virus that countries such as Colombia and Brazil have had, which total “more than 60% of the COVID-19 cases – contagions – in Latin America”, he stressed.

Similarly, the National Dignitary advanced on the strategy “Venezuela has decided to take care of itself”, emphasizing that in order to achieve a definitive flexibility “the key is to take care of ourselves”. “We have to stay on the path of 7+7Plus, with a clear strategy: Venezuela has decided to take care of itself”, he said.

Finally, he encouraged the Venezuelan population to comply with the 7+7 method. In this sense, also, he reported that in the next few days will arrive in the nation the vaccine from the People’s Republic of China, in phase 3 of clinical studies, for which there are already thousands of volunteers in the world.
