During a telematic contact with the Executive Cabinet, from the State of Kuwait, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that he is in permanent contact with national authorities, in order to follow up on the incidence of the situation of the rains in the national territory, especially in the most affected entities:
«Three tropical waves passed through Venezuela continuously, causing a situation of humidity accumulation that has caused the same condensation to increase the amount of water that has affected important states,» said the Head of State.
In that sense, the national president specified that the Bolivarian Government has dealt efficiently with resources and tools the contingency caused by intense rainfalls:
“Three tropical waves caused an accumulation of humidity, condensation, and heat, which has increased the amount of water,” explained President Maduro.
The president established a connection with the governor of the Mérida state, Jehyson Guzmán, who reported that tropical waves 6, 7 and 8 generated damages in the Andean entity, creating contingencies in several populations.
“So far, we have had a total of 18 houses with total losses, detachment of rocky material and 65 houses with losses of goods. We have not had any human losses,” reported the highest authority of Merida state, highlighting the prompt attention of the security forces and the institutions of the Venezuelan State, which manage the recovery of public services in a timely manner.
In this context, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, instructed Governor Jehyson Guzmán to consolidate protection for the entire population of this region, in a civic-military-police-firefighter union.
“Wherever the people need it, with all our efforts, we are going to continue coordinating so that all the support arrives,” said the president.
