COVID: Venezuela registers 1,101 positive cases in the last 24 hours

Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez informed that 1,101 cases were registered in the country in total, 1,062 community infections and 39 imported in the last 24 hours throughout the national territory.

During the presentation of the weekly balance of the Presidential Commission for the attention, treatment and fight against COVID 19, Rodriguez highlighted that the entity with the highest number of cases was the Capital District with 247 cases, followed by Yaracuy state with 154 infections, Falcon with 113, Miranda with 112 and Aragua with 97 cases.

In the last 24 hours, 39 cases of international origin were also registered, 15 coming from the Dominican Republic, 15 from Mexico, 7 from Panama and 2 from Spain.

She detailed that there is a recovery rate of 90% of the patients.

She added that so far in April a total of 14,390 active cases have been registered in the country.

“Unfortunately, we must report the death of 19 people, 10 in Miranda state, 4 in Anzoátegui, 1 in Nueva Esparta; 1 in Zulia; 1 in Lara; 1 in Cojedes and 1 in Guárico state. We send our deepest condolences to their families and loved ones”, said Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
