The National President, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that the Colombian government has requested the Treasury Department of the US government to “hand over all the Venezuelan money they have sequestered, for them to supposedly take care of the migrants at the border”.
“The Colombian government is asking the US government for all the sequestered money to take care of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia. There are 7 billion dollars sequestered”, he said.
This was informed this Sunday by the head of state during the presentation of the weekly balance of Covid-19 when rejecting this new aggression by the government of Duque: “They intend to subtract the 7 billion dollars, allegedly to deal with the migratory situation on the border, they broke all records of cynicism”.

The Venezuelan President reiterated that this action, along with the recent events developed in the border zone in the jurisdiction of Apure State, “are part of a strategy coordinated by the Colombian oligarchy and the Southern Command, with criminal groups to bring the Colombian war against the Bolivarian Armed Forces and the Venezuelan people”.
He assured, in this sense, that the Colombian government itself demonstrates the abandonment of its borders to narco-paramilitary violence with the alleged sending of troops to the area.
“They have just announced that they will send between 700 to 2,000 men, why are they going to send them? Because they have no one there! They want to bring their dirty war from Colombia to Venezuela, with anti-personnel mines, but we are not going to allow it, we are going to guarantee the expulsion of these individuals and these Colombian irregular criminal groups, they will be arrested. Zero tolerance with the irregular criminal groups from Colombia!”, ordered the Commander in Chief of the FANB.
In this context, he ordered the Minister for Defense, M/G Vladimir Padrino López and the Commander of the CEOFANB, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, to maintain maximum alert and avoid provocations in the area since “the objective of the aggressors is to escalate to a direct confrontation between the military forces of Colombia and Venezuela, and Iván Duque is in it up to his guts, they are looking for it“.
Duque destroyed peace agreement:
Likewise, the Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro, assured that the situation being experienced in the Colombian border is a product of the destruction of the peace agreement in the neighboring country.
“We helped the peace process, I am a signatory of the peace agreement, and then Iván Duque destroyed the peace agreement and a thousand groups emerged. Colombian intelligence and the Colombian army have articulated with some of those irregular groups and give them missions to come and bring war to Venezuela. But in Venezuela there will be no war, in Venezuela there will be peace and sovereignty guaranteed by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces”, emphasized President Maduro.
He indicated that “we must learn from all this experience, refine our intelligence and counter-intelligence systems, because we are facing a type of dirty and irregular war”, before which he requested “the support of all the people to defend the truth of Venezuela”.
Finally, President Nicolás Maduro reiterated all his support to the FANB, the Bolivarian Militia and the civic-military-police union to face this tremendous battle. “We are sons of Bolivar, the man of difficulties, and we are ready”.
