Venezuela ratifies its commitment to continue promoting South-South cooperation


The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratified its commitment to continue deepening the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity for the economic and social development of the peoples of the South.
This was stated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, on Twitter, on the occasion of the celebration of United Nations Day for South-South cooperation:
“I join the commemoration of the United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation, committed to deepen the brotherhood and respect among the peoples of the south. Venezuela will continue betting on the construction of a new geopolitics of Peace, free from colonial domination”, wrote the Head of State on the social network.
The United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation aims to raise awareness among citizens of the world about the initiatives taken by the organization aimed at developing countries cooperating with each other.
Likewise, are celebrated the economic, social and political advances of recent years in regions and countries of the South, as refers the website of the United Nations Organization.
