President Maduro urges to improve the conditions of Venezuelan workers

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, gave new guidelines on Tuesday to improve the conditions of Venezuelan workers.

From a telephone contact with the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples, Workers Chapter, the Head of State highlighted the importance of recovering workers’ wages, pensions, and collective contracts.

He claimed to be «committed to that recovery, all of this as a fundamental instrument to fight the economic war,» he said.

«In the case of the working class, we have fundamental tasks such as consolidating the union strength, consolidating the Workers’ Productive Councils, plans must be adjusted to recover production at all levels of the national economy,» said the first national leader.

Likewise, he exposed among the points to be developed by the National Executive in the hands of the workers, the need to consolidate the union forces and the productive councils of workers (CPT).

«We already have 2,420 CPTs in the mining, hydrocarbons, technology, tourism sectors, among others,» explained the dignitary.

Also adjusting the plans to recover production at all levels and sectors of the national economy, «a working class that is the vanguard of the process of real recovery of the national economy,» he pointed out.

President Maduro also urged to guarantee exports, payment of taxes, and payment of public services, as well as building a great system of ideological, political and cultural training.

«We are in a new and more powerful force of the popular movement, of the working class to assume the tasks of transformation and take the reins of the Venezuelan political process,» he stressed.
