Interpol will be requested an arrest warrant against the person responsible for attempted terrorist attack

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, asked the Attorney General of the Republic to urge the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to place an alert to capture the person responsible and contractor of a mercenary who intended to attack to Parliament on January 26.

May the Attorney General of the Republic request Interpol to help us find the whereabouts of Mariano José Ugarte Morillo, who we know is hidden in Colombia at the moment,” requested the President of Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, during the ordinary session of this Tuesday in the Protocol Chamber in Caracas.

In a broadcast by the ANTV television station, Rodríguez urged the deputies of the Colombian Congress to join the investigation, since it was a terrorist action that directly attacked the democracy of Venezuela.

On January 26, mercenary Richard Grillet Álvarez, an AN security officer and former policeman from the Girardot municipality of Aragua state, received a payment of 5,000 dollars from Morillo, an agent of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate a large number of people, including deputies who were in the premises of the Parliament.

Rodríguez denounced that Grillet and Morillo held a video call, in which participated an official of the National Intelligence Directorate of Colombia, and a close official of the Colombian President Iván Duque.

The terrorist act, which sought to be consummated on Tuesday, January 26 at 4:30 in the afternoon, had as a strategy to place explosives on floors 5 and 6 of the José María Vargas building, better known as Esquina de Pajaritos (Pajaritos Square), the administrative headquarters of the AN; and a high-caliber explosive device near the Hemicycle, said Rodríguez.
