COVID: Venezuela registers 1,483 community cases and recovery rate remains at 92%

A total of 1,483 cases of community transmission of COVID-19 were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, while the recovery rate stands at 92 percent of the total cases, with 223,778 patients recovered thanks to treatments free of charge guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, through a series of publications on his account of the Twitter social network @luchaalmada, during the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

In this sense, he detailed that cases of community transmission are discriminated as follows: Zulia (293), Miranda (153), Lara (134), Yaracuy (124), Falcón (124), Apure (110), Trujillo (79), La Guaira (77), Caracas (74), Bolívar (67), Carabobo (60), Sucre (50), Táchira (47), Aragua (39), Barinas (22), Guárico (10), among other states.

He also specified that Zulia state is the entity with the highest number of infections in its 21 municipalities: Maracaibo (69), San Francisco (64), Miranda (30), Jesús Enrique Lossada (26), Baralt (24), Rosario de Perijá (13), Cañada de Urdaneta (13), Santa Rita (10), Simón Bolívar (10), Cabimas (7), Almirante Padilla (6), Guajira (6), Lagunillas (3), Valmore Rodríguez (2 ), Francisco Javier Pulgar (2), Mara (2), Machiques de Perijá (2), Catatumbo (2), Jesús María Semprún (1) and Sucre (1).

Similarly, he reported that to date there are a total of 243,621 confirmed cases, 223,788 recovered people, which represents 92% of infections.

The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information highlighted that Venezuela has 17,099 active cases, 11,307 are being treated in Hospitals, 5,222 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers and 570 in private clinics.

He added that there are 8,675 patients who are Asymptomatic, 7,131 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 2,734 deceased people, 1,000 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 293 in Intensive Care Units.

Likewise, he regretted the death of 15 new victims, reaching the death toll of 2,734:

– 4 women aged 47, 52, 77 and 65, and a man aged 49 from Aragua state

– A 86-year-old man from Apure

– A 62-year-old woman from Lara

– A 57-year-old woman from Apure

– 3 men aged 72, 83 and 80 and a woman aged 86 from Caracas

A 42-year-old man and a 87-year-old woman from Miranda

– A 55-year-old man from La Guaira state.
