COVID: Venezuela registers 464 new infections and maintains 94% recovery rate

This Sunday, a total of 464 new cases of Covid-19, of which 460 are of community transmission and 4 imported, were detected in the last 24 hours in the nine molecular biology laboratories installed in the country and 30 rapid antigenic test kits installed in all states, to raise the total number of contagions to 123,709, while the rate of recovered cases remains at 94% of the total cases thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced by the Executive Vice-President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the weekly balance of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19.

Likewise, Rodriguez detailed that 15 entities registered community infections:

Miranda with 129 cases.

Capital District with 118.

Zulia 57.

Yaracuy 56.

Táchira 24.

Sucre 17.

Aragua 17.

Anzoátegui 12.

Nueva Esparta 10.

La Guaira 9.

Trujillo 4.

Lara 2.

Carabobo 2.

Guárico 2.

Amazonas 1.

In this sense, she specified that of the 4 imported cases, 3 come from Mexico and 1 from Turkey, with entry through La Guaira.

Likewise, the Executive Vice-President assured that 98% of the total number of active cases are treated in the public and free Health System, which is why it is being increasingly strengthened.

Finally, she regretted to report the death of six people due to this virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,148 victims.

An 87-year-old man from Falcón state.

A 58-year-old man from Trujillo state.

A 66-year-old man from Miranda state.

A 78-year-old woman from the Capital District.
