Diosdado Cabello: We are facing a systematic attack against Venezuela

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted this Sunday that Venezuela is currently experiencing a systematic attack promoted by foreign governments:

“The context in which we are moving is one of systematic attack against the country”, said Cabello when being interviewed on the TV program “Aquí con Ernesto” (Here with Ernesto) Villegas.

The member of the political organization made these assertions after the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, said that Venezuela uses as agents several people involved in destabilizing acts against the country that also suffers from a financial blockade promoted by the United States.

“The Government of Colombia insists on lying about Venezuela to avoid criticism of the massacres of Colombian citizens as part of the plan of their imperial bosses to militarily attack our country”, explained Cabello.

Faced with these acts of interference, Venezuela has bet on dialogue and reconciliation, for which the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, granted 110 pardons to opposition leaders. In that sense, Cabello welcomed the decision of the National Executive, while reiterating that the head of state has the conditions to grant this kind of measures.

He also expressed his support for the people of Venezuela who, despite the situation generated by neoliberal governments, remains standing in defense of its political management.
