This Tuesday the health authorities confirmed that were detected 684 new cases of the new coronavirus, as reported the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, after the meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Control of Covid-19.
She noted that 632 new cases are by community transmission, in addition to 52 imported cases. This was announced on Tuesday through the Twitter social network, highlighting that the entity with the highest number of registered cases is the Capital District (181); being the parishes with the highest number of infections Catia (31), El Valle (28) and Catedral (13), in addition to the circulation of the virus in all parishes of Caracas.
«Unfortunately, we report the death of 7 compatriots from this virus, totaling 187 deaths: 3 men aged 59, 62 and 52 respectively in Zulia state (Maracaibo), 2 men aged 64 and 72 in Táchira state, 1 woman aged 75 in Miranda (Sucre), one 66-year-old man in Bolívar state (Santa Elena de Uairén)”, explained the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.
«Today, Venezuela has a total of 21,438 #COVID19 cases, of which only 9,376 are active. It is important to highlight that a 55% of the patients (11,875) have recovered», added Dr. Rodríguez in the report.
She also added that it is important to make known to the Venezuelan people, that despite the blockade and the prosecution against Venezuela, “we have managed to carry out 1,561,272 tests, which means 52,042 tests per million inhabitants; This represents the highest figure in Latin America», she said.
«We reiterate our call to the discipline and maximum conscience of the people. Covid-19 is circulating and the effective way to combat it is to stay home. We are in the week of radical quarantine of the 7 + 7 formula, which we must comply with for the health of everyone», said Delcy Rodríguez in her report.
