The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, reported on Tuesday that Venezuela registered 583 new Covid-19 cases throughout the national territory in the last 24 hours, this is 539 cases by community transmission and 44 imported cases, totaling 16,571 people who have been infected with the disease, in addition to five deaths for a total of 151 victims of the virus.
In this regard, she highlighted that, of the total, 177 cases are from the Capital District and are found in the 22 parishes of Caracas.
Rodríguez explained that the most affected parishes are still El Valle with 47 cases, 22 in Altagracia and 15 in Sucre (Catia), and she urged the population to maintain biosecurity measures and the radicalized quarantine.
Likewise, she highlighted in the offered report by states, that La Guaira has 85 cases, Sucre 62, Miranda 55, Táchira 45, Bolívar 37, Mérida 34, Trujillo 13 cases, Falcón (8), Aragua, Carabobo and Nueva Esparta (5) cases, and Apure and Monagas states with 4 cases each.
It should be noted that in Venezuela are reported 44 cases of foreign transmission , 40 coming from Colombia, (2) cases from Ecuador and (2) cases from Peru, said the authority in a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión.
The vice president also reported after the meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Control of Covid-19, that 63,205 people have entered the country through the Integral Social Care Posts (PASI) arranged at the borders by the National Government.
Rodríguez explained that 62% of the reported cases have already fully recovered and 6,225 cases are still active, which are being attended by the Public Health System.
She concluded by saying that 26 patients are in Intensive Care Units due to their seriousness, 10 patients are in a moderate health situation, 1,191 are mild, and more than 4,900 people do not have any symptoms of coronavirus.
