Maduro: Bolívar’s life still continues within the organized people

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the events commemorating the 237th Anniversary of the Birth of Simón Bolívar, the 197th anniversary of the Naval Battle of Lake Maracaibo and the Day of the Bolivarian Navy.

On the occasion of the central act that took place at the Puerto Cabello naval base in Carabobo state, the head of state congratulated all the men and women who make up the FANB, and assured that today’s celebration is due to a single element of Unity.

After the greeting by the sectoral vice-president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, and minister for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, by A / J Remigio Ceballos, and other members of the military High Command, as well as the military personnel at the parade and the ships at anchor, the president expressed his greeting to the FANB:

“Today in your day I want to convey my congratulations, revolutionary and moral commitment, as Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces”, said the head of state.

“We are the children of the victors of the Battle of the Lake, of Carabobo, Boyacá, Pichincha, Junín, We are the same”, said the national president.

In his direct message to the National Navy he said: “We are going to take care of the seas, rivers and all the aquatic spaces of this pacifist, Bolivarian Venezuela, with the same zeal and the same combat capacity of our sailors from 197 years ago”, he stated.

President Maduro recalled the historical memory of the father of the Homeland, considered as the “Man of the Americas”.

In this regard, he stressed that “Bolívar’s life still continues, we commemorate 237 years of a Bolívar who is alive within an organized, conscious, anti-imperialist people, who is at the forefront of his ideas, his morals”.

“The Great Bolivar is alive in the battle that we are fighting against US imperialism, with its aggressions, with its dirty campaigns, with its criminal and illegal sanctions”, reiterated the president.

With reference to the imperialist claims, he stressed that the fate and independence of Venezuela is marked by dignity.

“Do open your eyes, imperialist lords, and see the people of Venezuela. We have only a single destiny: freedom, victory, independence, our destiny is marked by dignity and national identity, by a love to our own”, he said.

“The problems of Venezuelans are ours, and we will solve them, without interference from any empire, whatever it is called, an empire in moral, political, national and international decline”, said the head of state.
