In Venezuela 43.2% of positive coronavirus cases have recovered

The Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, reported on Monday that 142 positive cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) have been recovered, representing 43.2% of the total number of infected.

In statements held from Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez noted that the total number of infections in the country rose to 329, of which more than 60% of the cases were registered in Miranda state, the second state most affected by the pandemic in the country.

Likewise, he detailed that 89 patients are in sentinel hospitals, 64 in Integral Diagnosis Centers, 24 in private clinics, and 10 deceased.

He reiterated that Venezuela is one of the countries in the world with the largest number of recovered patients, and noted that the key to this achievement is that people are approached early, even when asymptomatic, thanks to detection tools activated by the national government.

On the other hand, the minister announced that in the next few days, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, will make new announcements with schedules and age ranges to make the confinement more flexible, as was done this Sunday and Monday with children and the elders.
