The Constitutional chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) ordered that Reinaldo Enrique Muñoz Pedroza is the Attorney General of the Republic.
This provision is given in a binding manner after declaring as resolved a constitutional interpretation request.
The determination of the highest court reaffirms the attribution to Muñoz Pedroza of the duties of representation of the Venezuelan State before national and international third parties for the best defense of the goods and interests of the Republic and all powers, as reviews a press release from the TSJ.
In ruling No. 0059, with a presentation by the president of the Constitutional Chamber, Juan José Mendoza Jover, this instance, after declaring itself competent and assuming ex officio, urgent and as a matter of law, declared the request for constitutional interpretation of articles 247 resolved, 248 and 249 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in accordance with article 49 of the Organic Law of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, adds the note.
