COVID: Venezuela registers 1,226 new infections in the last 24 hours

1,226 new infections by Covid-19, all of community transmission, have been registered in Venezuela in the last 24 hours. Miranda state is the entity with the highest number of cases, 344 active in 19 of its 21 municipalities, followed by Caracas with 324, La Guaira with 165, Yaracuy with 73 and Apure state with 62 cases.

11 Venezuelans died from Coronavirus, bringing the figures to 4,214 deaths to date.

547 days after confirming the first case of Covid-19 in Venezuela the total number of infections is 348,873, with 332,808 patients recovered and 11,851 current active cases.

Vaccination has been accelerated in the country under instructions of President Nicolás Maduro, which is why a call is made to those over 60 years of age to go to the vaccination centers without needing a prior appointment.
