Number of infected by coronavirus in Venezuela rises to 298

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed on Wednesday 10 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), which brings the number of infected to 298, while the number of deceased remains at 10.

From the Poliedro de Caracas, the National President detailed that, of these 10 infections, two cases are registered in Táchira state, and eight in Nueva Esparta state.

Of the total number of cases, Venezuela has 122 people recovered, which represents a 42% of cases, while 85 people remain in sentinel hospitals, 54 in Integral Diagnostic Centers, 27 cases in private clinics and two in isolation in hotels.

Once again the Head of State reminded the country of the importance of the joint effort of the people and the National Government, to maintain preventive and health measures to prevent the spreading of the virus.

On the other hand, he urged the rulers of other nations – who pretend to lift the quarantine soon – to be conscious and avoid a new possible outbreak of the virus, worse than the situations that are currently being registered.
