Maduro: Venezuela can and should resolve its internal affairs without interventionism

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated on Thursday that Venezuela can and should resolve its internal affairs without any intervention.

“We want to solve our problems in peace, that no one intervenes in the internal affairs of Venezuela, and we have absolute capacity to independently and sovereignly resolve, address and overcome”, he said in a broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

From the Yellow House in the city of Caracas, headquarters of the Chancellery, was held the World Day for the Rights of Afro-descendant peoples, where the Head of State announced the support for the international committee for the reparation of the victims of colonialism.

“Comrades, I announce all the support of the Bolivarian Government so that the international legal and diplomatic field, feels a mandate of reparation to the peoples victims of slavery”, he said.

The President instructed in the short term to promote a meeting with the ALBA and Caricom member countries with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Gutérres, to add massive support to the demand for reparations for the victims of colonialism and slavery.
