85% of the Venezuelan population abides by the collective quarantine

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Thursday that 85% of the country complies with the national and collective quarantine, a preventive measure to deal with the coronavirus (Covid-19).

During the celebration of the 17 years of Mission Barrio Adentro, from La Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa, in Caracas, the National President stressed that taking adequate measures and on time has been the key to face and contain the spread of the virus.

“The voluntary and social quarantine has been a bold measure, which until now has had 85 percent of conscious compliance”; to which is added the health professionals deployed throughout the territory to do the screening in thousands of communities, house by house, he said.

Venezuela reports a total of 204 infected, 111 patients are recovered; the figure of deceased remains at nine.
