President Nicolás Maduro assured from Carabobo: The export vocation is key to the future of Venezuela

Within the framework of a new Productive Wednesday journey held from Carabobo state, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the export vocation is essential to consolidate the prosperous future of Venezuela.

During a visit to the “Don Tito” Poultry Farm, located in the Guacara municipality of Carabobo state, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, accompanied by the state‘s Governor, Rafael Lacava, assured that Venezuela has great competitive advantages in the continent, including the quality of its products, which will allow, in the short and medium term, for the industry “within three, five or ten years –to be- exporting large amounts of food.”

Accent on exports:

In this regard, he pointed out that although the priority is to guarantee food production to satisfy domestic demand in the country, “it is imperative to open the window to exports because the foreign exchange that you (producers and businessmen) need to continue growing, is in exports”.

“We have to add the construction of the export vocation of all companies because it guarantees access to foreign currency and that, in turn, to new technologies and investments with their own muscle, with their own strength,” he stressed.

To expand investments:

In this context, he instructed Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to “look for the perfect formula for virtuous investment dynamics.”

Investment must be multiplied, that is the virtuous dynamic that the new economic model must integrate and articulate. We must achieve direct investment from the industrial, productive, agricultural portfolios”, he specified.

Likewise, he reiterated the need to join efforts between public and private banks to guarantee financing for agricultural producers.

This is how the visit of President Nicolás Maduro to Carabobo took place on this Productive Wednesday
